as the main high school in sunnyville, situated over a hellmouth, many of its alumni go on to do great things, or at least become supernaturally empowered. at least a fourth of the school’s population eventually become a vampire or die mysteriously. students tend to know more about the supernatural than their parents. sunnyville high gives a whole new meaning to high school hell.

a quaint street in downtown sunnyville, it is the most common place for high school students to hang out during the weekend. the main street contains many small privately owned shops, and a few businesses. students are commonly found at the coffee shop, book store, movie theater, magic shop, and the local club. the majority of the other stores are directed towards the more adult population.

located on the street directly behind main street is sunshine apartment complex, the largest in sunnyville. although it is only three stories high, it is large and has around fifty apartments. the largest apartments in the complex have three bedrooms, but the majority contain one to two bedrooms. many college students live here since it’s close to school and is affordable.

not far from main street is sunnyville’s park. spreading over twenty acres, the park is complete with a playground, hot dog stand, lake, and a swing set for all ages. during the day, it’s a hotspot for kids or people that just want to enjoy the weather. at night, it’s just as unsafe as every other part of town. it’s a common place for vampires to hang out at night since people have to walk through it to get home.

about ten years ago three best friends decided to open up a restaurant and name it after themselves. blt is the biggest restaurant in the area, and is open for breakfast lunch in dinner. only a ten minute walk from main street, the restaurant is a popular stop for a date night. they serve a wide variety of food, and are open till midnight.

circling the entire town is a variety of abandoned factories and mansions. demons and vampires alike live in the abandon buildings since they are the easiest places to live without worrying about someone walking in on them. most people in sunnyville know to avoid any of the supposedly empty buildings, although their reasons involve ghost stories of haunted mansions.

looking for a cheap place to stay? heartbreak motel is the place to go. rooms are practically free, and occupants can stay for months at a time. sorry but there’s no room service. the place is pretty rundown, but the owner doesn’t care about noise or pretty much anything. it’s only a twenty minute drive from town, and is in walking distance of the local beach.

the nicest part of sunnyville, by far, is san juan key. during the day, it’s the safest place in the town, and many come to get a tan or surf when the weather calls for it. the beach isn’t too large, probably only a mile long, and during the summer it can get a bit busy. a few small stands are set up in the summer that sell drinks, food, and even bathing suits and towels.

although it may be expected to be near the beach, the docks are actually far from it. it’s a large sea port, but people usually avoid the area since the men working there are normally unfriendly. vampires use the boats that come in and out as a way to leave town, while some arrive to the town using the boats. normally they slip in with the cargo and can go wherever they want as long as the other place has a sea port.
